This past Saturday was the official day for fall and for any girl that means sweater weather! We had a thirty degree swing in the temperature and it was cool enough to get the fall feels while apple picking. Aaron and I went on a day date to Patterson Farms and were lucky enough that one of my favorite types were available for picking - Fuji! They also have Fun Fest happening, people could go on hay rides, have picnics, and a corn maze to get lost in.

I bought this plaid wrap shawl a few months ago and have been counting the days until it was cool enough to wear. I love the vibrant neutral colors that make it versatile to match with any outfit. The coat comes with pockets [pockets will get me every time!] and comes with the same patterned belted fabric. I love how flattering  the piece is with its 'fit & flare' cut when worn closed.

The coat also comes in white and black grid as well as pink and plaid plum. The fabric is wool with a polyester lining - thick enough for temperatures between 40-60 degrees. Depending on how you like to wear your pieces, the sizing runs a little big, this coat is an XS and definitely needed an XXS. The sleeves were about two inches too long as I like to wear mine right below the wrist. The flap when closed reached almost around to the opposite side. To get the flare look, I pulled and positioned the flaps just in the front pulling the bottom hem of each side out after I tied it with a belt.

I finished the fall look by pairing it with black ankle jeans to make the colors of the coat pop, gray booties with a braid buckle accent, and a gray turtle neck long sleeve to keep this LA girl warm. This piece is a must have for any girl wanting a statement coat for the upcoming season. Which of the coats is your favorite and how would you style it?
