J. Crew Peacoat Review + 40% Sale

If you haven't noticed by my Instagram, there is nothing I love more than fall and winter pieces, especially coats! My husband is always jealous of my coat collection because he's left frozen all season. The first time I went to Toronto is when I bought my first peacoat - the Navy Blue Majesty. from J.Crew. It has been a staple piece and the gateway coat to my obsession.

J.Crew usually releases the same staple coats every year but with subtle changes. My Navy Blue Majesty is from 2013 and a size 00. I usually opt for a 00 for all my coats from J.Crew as I like the longer torso and sleeves rather than the 00P. My Navy Blue Peacoat has an oversized collar [my favorite - as it blocks the strong freezing winds from my neck] and notch lapel I love the gold button accents and the thickness of the coat. It truly is the classic peacoat once worn by Navy officers.

Flash forward to 2015 and J.Crew released new colors for their peacoats. We all know my favorite color is blue, so I obviously had to snag the Royal Blue version! With a slightly shorter collar [half an inch] and additional sleeve straps it is just as great a quality as the years before.

I love that not only were there horizontal deep pockets with flaps but it also came with slanted breast pockets. I have short arms so it was a plus that I was able to have pockets I could reach and easily slip my hands into. The color is so vibrant and probably my favorite part of this peacoat version. The best part about these peacoats is that they're 40% off with code SHOPFAST - HERE. This year's colors include Heather Concord [below] and Dune. Get yours ASAP because they sell out fast. Let me know what color you chose and your thoughts!.
