I love pretty dresses as much as the next girl, but let's be honest—sometimes there's nothing better [well, maybe sweatpants and a hoodie] than just wearing a pair of jeans and a chunky sweater. Among a few other pieces, these are my casual favorites styled.

My usual go to's are my favorite pair of jeans [my jean requirement is that the material is comprised of some lycra—gives the jeans a better fit] and oversized chunky sweater. I style the jeans by rolling them up at the bottom, enough that it stops where my ankle boots start. For my sweater, I tuck in the front and leave the back flowing.

If I'm not wearing heels, you can find me always wearing boots! These are so comfortable and on sale! My favorite type are always ankle in length wth a blocked heel. I was concerned the size was too big [maybe a little], but I like to wear the thick socks for extra cushion and my petite toes are happy they don't get squished. 

My favorite in this entire outfit is the scarf—a real statement piece! The plaid pattern with blues, yellows, and reds bring the entire outfit together, not to mention the warm wool material. Plus you can never have too many and it matches everything [from pjs to maxis]. I usually style mine the classic way, with one loop around the neck and hair [what can I say, my hair is thick and I like the extra insulation]. For me, going casual is the way to go when all you want to do is relax and have a dinner and a movie kind of night with the hubby. Here's to Casual FriYAY! Have a great weekend!
